Voices From The Past

This question and answer is from Heidelberg Catechism.

Question: What is thy only comfort in life and death?

Answer: "That I with body and soul, both in life and death, am not my own, but belong unto my faithful Saviour Jesus Christ; who, with his precious blood, has fully satisfied for all my sins, and delivered me from all the power of the devil, and so preserves me that without the will of my heavenly Father, not a hair can fall from my head; yea, that all things must be subservient to my salvation, and therefore, by his Holy Spirit, He also assures me of eternal life, and makes me sincerely willing and ready, henceforth, to live unto Him."

We love you and give thanks to you Jesus for your blood has purchased for us indescribable riches, and the hope of being with you and knowing you fully into all eternity!

Side note: it's really neat as I have been typing this in our living room my kids have been role playing a "church service" they take turns being the pastor while the other is the singer :), and before that we were having sweet conversations about heaven and how much they want to be there so they can meet their big brother Jesus! Micaiah then got very concerned that his daddy wouldn't still be his daddy in heaven so I just told him to hold onto that thought and ask daddy when he gets home :) these kids are so funny and precious!
